Later in life, Jiménez was awarded a National Heritage Fellowship, a National Medal of Arts, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The Grammy winner still performed regularly on the Grand Ole Opry, which she joined in 1967, and was host of a Sunday afternoon show on satellite radio.

In total, Seely made 5,397 Grand Ole Opry performances, more than any other artist in the institution's 100-year history.
