Drew Allar entered the Penn State campus with significance. He was a five-star recruit and the No. 1 quarterback in the high-school class of 2022 per 247 Sports, making him the most sought-after quarterback recruit to play for the Nittany Lions in a very long time.

The junior's status regarding the 2025 season has yet to be officially announced. In December, he reportedly told the Penn State coaching staff that his "intention" was to return to Happy Valley for the 2025 season, but he did not appear to be closing the door on the NFL Draft.
