Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared a video of their new-look Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Thursday, January 30 ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Ahead of the mega event, there have been massive scrutiny on the preparedness of the PCB to host the tournament due to the incomplete renovation work of the stadiums.

They have more than once quashed speculation that construction delays could see the tournament moved to the UAE. A fortnight ago, the board felt confident enough that work at each venue was on track to announce that a tri-series before the Champions Trophy - originally scheduled for Multan - would take place in Lahore and Karachi, instead.

Amid rising concerns over the readiness of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 venues in the country, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said that the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore would be handed over to the ICC on February 11,

The renovation work going on at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium has reached the final stages with only the finishing touches left.

Gaddafi Stadium will first host a tri-nation series featuring Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa, followed by the Champions Trophy, starting February 19. The first match of the 2025 Champions Trophy at Gaddafi Stadium will be played between England and Australia on February 22.

The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore is undergoing a major revamp ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The deadline to hand it over to the ICC is January 25.
