On July 11, Gervonta "Tank" Davis (who is the WBA lightweight champion and one of boxing's biggest stars) was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida, on charges of assault after an alleged domestic violence dispute with his ex-girlfriend (who is also the mother of his two children).

Gervonta Davis has been cleared of his domestic violence charges by the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office. Reports indicated that Davis was apprehended following an incident on June 15 where he allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend.

The online docket for Miami-Dade County’s clerk of court showed that the charge was dropped and the case closed.
