Protests over federal immigration enforcement raids and President Donald Trump’s move to mobilize the National Guard and Marines to Los Angeles are spreading nationwide and are expected to continue into the weekend.

The Los Angeles Police Department has declared all of downtown as an unlawful assembly, telling all demonstrators to leave the area immediately. "Downtown Los Angeles has been declared as an UNLAWFUL ASSEMBLY. You are to leave the Downtown Area immediately," police said on X.

Demonstrators hit the streets again in L.A. after President Trump deployed the National Guard due to protests against ICE raids.

"If you throw a brick, a firebomb, or point a gun at one of our deputies, we will be notifying your family where to collect your remains because we will kill you," Sheriff Ivey said. Ivey said that those consequences can be avoided if the law is obeyed.

Customs and Border Patrol confirmed it is providing "aerial support" to law enforcement efforts during the protests.
