A Kentucky doctor who was previously reported missing in Alaska has been found dead, the Juneau Police Department said.
Alaska State Troopers said 62-year-old Marites Buenafe had texted her family that she was going for a hike in Juneau, but didn't return to the ship.
Marites Buenafe, 62, a University of Kentucky Healthcare employee, was reported missing July 1. Her body was found by Alaska Army National Guard.
