The remnants of last week’s winter storm are still causing icy conditions in the North Georgia mountains, prompting several of those school districts to close or go virtual. Here is our full list of closures: Habersham County Schools will be closed on Wednesday.

While most of the ice from the weekend has gradually melted, a few school districts in north Georgia are giving it another day for their back roads to clear up.

Several schools in North Carolina and Georgia remain closed or have switched to virtual learning on January 15 as icy roads and lingering cold temperatures continue to pose safety risks for commuters and students.

While plenty of government offices closed, and schools did virtual learning or closed, most are back to business as usual come Monday. Still, road conditions aren’t the same everywhere, so here are the schools districts that have already said they’ll have a later start to their Monday classes, or remain closed, due to weather conditions.
