Alex Ovechkin finally scored his 900th goal on Wednesday, becoming the first player to do so in the history of the NHL. He scored the goal against St. Louis Blues goalie Jordan Binnington. Entering the 2025-26 season, he had 897 goals. He had to play 13 games to score three more goals in order to reach the historic 900th goal milestone.
