Tesla shareholders approved a plan to grant Elon Musk shares worth nearly $1 trillion if he meets ambitious goals, including vastly expanding the company’s stock market valuation.
The money will be awarded in a series of payments over 10 years if Tesla meets a series of performance benchmarks.
At Tesla's annual meeting in Austin, Texas, shareholders of Musk' company approved a package which could see the CEO be paid as much as £1 trillion over a decade if he meets certain performance targets.
