Sega has introduced a new system for player accounts. A Sega Account will connect all of a player's games and services from both Sega and Atlus. It will also be a place for the two studios to share news, events, updates and promotions about their titles. The accounts are free and anyone can register.

Sega has launched its own account service, simply called – wait for it – Sega Account. Users can sign up for free now via the official website, with the service promising to offer up unique rewards and benefits to those who play Sega and Atlus titles across all major platforms.

Similar to other account clients, registering for a SEGA account promises special bonuses, discounts, and major news regarding SEGA and Atlus games.

Sega has launched a new online profile designed to used across its games going forwards. Sega Account is described by the company as “an online profile that gives you access to a host of benefits when playing Sega and Atlus titles and using their online services”.

Sega has launched its own account system akin to the Nintendo Account or Ubisoft Connect that will "maximize" its online services and offer various benefits, kicking off with a free costume for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
