Whether you want to build a deck of Basic Pikachu cards or a mighty line of the Charizard family, the deck you build can be tailored to fit your style, preference, and gameplay type.

To play, each player needs a deck. A deck always consists of exactly 60 cards. A deck cannot contain more than four copies of the same card, and has to have at least one Basic Pokémon. Set-up. At the start of a game, each player shuffles their deck, and draws seven cards. These cards are your "hand".
