Jun 3, 2023 · I’m from the Toronto area, and found February weather to be quite tolerable in Japan. Been there three times at that time of year. First time was early February in Tokyo only. Got a dusting of snow during the week, but it usually disappeared within a few hours. Sitting in a rooftop onsen having snow fall around me was magical.

February is usually a high of 60F (that feels more like 40F with the humidity and ocean winds). The advantage of an SF winter is that you don't need gloves or to shovel snow. You'll still need an insulated jacket.
