Jan 24, 2025 · Today, USAID released its Economic Growth and Trade Policy, which affirms and renews the Agency’s commitment to fostering economic resilience and inclusive growth, while addressing critical global challenges to support our shared economic future.

Our work seeks to advance government accountability and human rights; improve health and nutrition; support education and child development; increase agricultural production and food security; conserve forests and watersheds; and help farmers and households adapt to and mitigate the impacts of climate change and natural hazards.

USAID engages with partners to help increase access to education, improve water and wastewater services, ensure good governance, enhance academic opportunity, particularly in poor, underserved areas, and protect the environment.
