The present levels of academic achievement and functional performance (PLAAFP) is the foundation of your child’s IEP. The PLAAFP determines whether or not that IEP is adequate or appropriate. The PLAAFP drives decisions about accommodations, goals, and placement. So if the PLAAFP is wrong, the IEP can’t be right.
