The Preparatory Committee for Philippine Independence (PCPI) was a body created in June 1943 during the Japanese occupation of the Philippines in World War II. The PCPI was tasked with drafting a new constitution for the Philippines, which would serve as the foundational law for the Japanese-sponsored Second Philippine Republic (1943–1945).
