Prior to traveling this week to meet with fishing communities across Alaska, Dr. Anne Zink was tested for COVID-19 along with the rest of the small group including Dr. Alexander Eastman, the senior medical officer at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. All results were negative. The group will be discussing each area’s COVID-19 prevention plans, addressing local concerns and learning what additional federal resources might be needed to help make Alaska’s fishing season safe and successful.
