The BC Wildfire Service is currently responding to the Mulvey Creek wildfire (N51278), located approximately 4.5 kilometres from the Village of Slocan in the southern end of Valhalla Park. The fire is estimated to be three hectares in size and demonstrating vigorous fire behaviour. There are currently three helicopters and an initial attack crew onsite with a skimmer group en route. Smoke is highly visible from the Village of Slocan and surrounding areas, however the fire is not threatening any

The BC Wildfire Service is continuing to respond to the Cummings Creek wildfire. Over the past several days, crews have made great progress on the response efforts on this fire. Conditions have been favourable for crews to make strong progress on building access routes and containment lines that allow them to conduct direct attack suppression in some areas of the north and east flanks.
