Steve Curtis MBE - World Powerboat Champion On winning the Class 1 World Championship a record seventh time in 2007 he was then recognised and awarded the MBE for 'services to sport' in the Queen's 80th Birthday Honours List. Steve then won an 8th World title the following season, but it was not until 2016 when he eventually won the famous Cowes Torquay Cowes alongside Richard Carr in 'Cougar 46'.
