China has revealed a new large unmanned aerial vehicle called “Jiu Tian”, designed to operate as a drone mothership capable of carrying and deploying up to 100 smaller drones while in flight. China’s giant drone carrier Jiu Tian has completed its maiden flight in northwest China’s Shaanxi. The aircraft has a maximum takeoff weight of 16 tons, with the payload capacity of up to 6,000 kilograms. It is able to fly for 12 hours.
