In 1965, Vladimir Horowitz recorded two of his rehearsal sessions at Carnegie Hall. In these recordings, he can be heard improvising three times — and the results are remarkable. He creates a truly distinctive sound world, blending traces of late Romanticism with elements that reflect his own unique influences, including jazz.
