What can you do to protect yourself and help avoid being scammed? There are many different types of scams, like emails, phone calls impersonating law enforcement, people promising you a meeting with the lead singer of your favorite band or other too-good-to-be-true deals. Lt. Eric Phillips and Sgt. Dusty Ford of the Gadsden Police Department joined us to give some tips. | City of Gadsden

The City of Gadsden has launched an initiative called "Equip a Dream" to help provide gently used sports equipment to children in need in our community. Through February 29, you can donate your gently used sporting goods at one of three locations around town. We have children in need ages 4-18, and all sizes are welcome! Donations can be dropped off at Carver Community Center, East Gadsden Community Center or at City Hall. If none of these locations work, call Parks and Recreation at 245-549-468
