Four people were trapped in their attic in Sumas, Washington, on Wednesday as floodwaters rose 8-10 feet deep around their home. Local rescue units couldn't reach them, the water was too deep. The Coast Guard responded with helicopter crews, lowering a rescuer onto the roof to help survivors out through an attic window before hoisting them to safety. All four were taken for medical evaluation. No injuries reported. Another atmospheric river is lining up to bring more flooding to washington later
