Gear math! 🤔 Examples here ⬇️ Final drive = (teeth top gear / teeth bottom gear) x r&p ratio. For a 31/24 gear set with a 4.86 ring and pinion we take 31 divided by 24 multiplied by 4.86 to get 6.2775. RPM change = (rpm / gear ratio) x new ratio.
