The sumo squat and deadlift are both great exercises to prioritize strengthening the hips, glutes and adductors in each of these movement patterns. In the sumo squat, you will stay more upright and the hops will end up parallel or below the knees at the bottom. In the sumo deadlift, the hinge will be prioritized more and the hips will stay above the knees in the bottom position.
